Branding and identity for Energised Engagement, pharma leadership specialists
Energised Engagement is a leadership development consultancy specialising in the pharmaceutical sector. The business works with senior pharma leaders to unlock the behavioural shifts that drive lasting performance, with clients including Sanofi, Pfizer, GSK, Haleon, AstraZeneca, Roche and Novartis.
The original brand had carried EE well through their early years. By the time they came to Saint, the business had grown into something bigger than the brand was built to express, and the leadership team needed an identity and a messaging system that could carry them into the next stage of growth.
Growing beyond the start-up brand
EE's original identity was built when the business was finding its feet. It did its job at that stage and built the foundation for everything that followed. The business that turned up at our door, though, was a different one. The conversations had moved on. Senior buyers, larger pharma organisations, more sophisticated engagements. The credibility EE had earned in the room was not yet showing up in the brand, and the messaging had started to limit what EE could communicate about the value they were already delivering.
Ian and the leadership team came to Saint to close that gap.
Bringing the value to the surface
We started with our brand matrix, working through attributes, functions, rewards, values and personality with Ian and the leadership team. The matrix is built to do one job above all others. It separates what a business brings from what its customers receive, so the message can lead with the benefit rather than the activity behind it.
Because EE was already living the brand, the matrix surfaced what was already true rather than producing something new. Three attributes, three values and a defined personality came out of the room with agreement at every layer. Trust, confidence and lasting change moved from being treated as pillars to being demonstrated as outcomes. What EE actually does to create them became the foundation of every claim.
That distinction reshaped everything that followed. Pitch decks, capability documents and senior conversations now lead with what EE brings to the room and the value clients take from it. Proof points sit next to every claim. The team has a clear hierarchy to work from, a tone of voice that matches the personality of the business, and applied examples that show how it all works in practice.
Evolving the identity
The logo and visual system evolved rather than being a rebrand. The existing mark carried equity worth keeping, so we refined the geometry, introduced new typography to give the wordmark warmth and presence, strengthened the palette around navy and orange, and built a brand pattern from the shapes inside the logomark.
We delivered brand guidelines, templates, and applied them, covering everything from stationery and business cards to pull-up banners, social content, and LinkedIn presence. The identity now travels seamlessly from the boardroom to the conference stage to the LinkedIn feed, all in one voice.
A brand ready for the next stage
The result is a brand that matches the business's substance. EE now leads with the value they create rather than describing the activity that creates it. The leadership team has a system they can apply across every touchpoint, with the confidence that comes from knowing the messaging is built on what they already do well. The visual identity sits comfortably alongside the global pharma brands EE works with.
