Make It Scotland began as a small project in 2024, sharing unique places the founders had stayed, the kind of stays you remember, and recommend. In 2025, the goal was to turn that into a credible platform that could grow fast, stay curated, and be commercially viable for owners, without leaning on heavy commissions or third-party booking platforms.

Saint's strategy was to build foundations that compound, a brand identity that feels premium, local, and trustworthy, a website experience that makes discovery effortless, and a content and social media engine that consistently drives the right traffic. That meant treating the identity, the UX, and the growth plan as one joined-up system, not separate deliverables.

Brand identity

The identity needed to look like Scotland, without falling into clichés.

The logo was designed as a monogram that carries meaning. It combines the M and the S, while also reflecting the landscape itself, mountains as the upper form, with a river running through the centre. It works at small sizes for favicons and social profiles, and it scales into a recognisable brand asset across the platform.

The palette draws inspiration from the blue of the St Andrews flag, offset by a deliberately simple red used for calls to action. The red is functional. When a user is ready to book, the next step should be obvious.

Website UX, design and build

Directories can feel like hard work. This one could not.

The site was designed around fast discovery, clear navigation, and scannable templates that make it easy to browse, compare, and shortlist. The experience is built to feel curated, not cluttered, with photography leading the story and the interface staying out of the way.

Under the hood, the platform was built on a component-based CMS, giving the client a system they can run themselves. Templates and reusable components keep publishing consistent, so the platform can scale without the experience fraying at the edges.

Content and SEO foundations

From day one, growth relied on search visibility.

We helped set the structure for a growing library of guides and location-led content that matches how people actually plan trips. That content drives discovery, and the platform then does the job of turning interest into action.

Social strategy support

Social was treated as distribution, not decoration.

We supported a clear social approach that reinforces the content strategy, highlights listings, and keeps the platform active in a way that builds reach and drives sessions back to the site.
